What is a Local Cultural Education Partnership?

An LCEP is a network of partnerships across sectors looking to support children and young people to receive high quality cultural education and fulfil their creative potential where they go to school, where they live and where they spend their free time.

The Greenwich CEP was formed out of a shared desire to work in more interconnected ways to ensure that all young people in the borough are having a rich and varied cultural experience.

Greenwich CEP was formed as a partnership between Emergency Exit Arts, Royal Museums Greenwich, and The Royal Borough of Greenwich Council, whose mission is to provide free and accessible cultural education to all children and young people in the borough.

Administrated by a steering group made up of teachers, independent artists, arts and culture organisations and members of the local borough authority, who meet monthly to help direct the CEP methodology.

The CEP would like to connect more schools, organisations and artists in the local community. If you believe your school, university or organisation would benefit from the collaboration, or have something to contribute, visit the Greenwich CEP Website and find out about how you can take part.

The CEP Steering Group will also be presenting at the Curriculum Hub for Primary and Secondary School Teachers on the  6th of March 2025, where they will be promoting the CEP, and an upcoming summer seminar on the 10th July  dedicated to the celebration of creativity in the borough, as well as discussion and engagement with articles and issues surrounding the curriculum please email info@eea.org.uk if you would like to speak at this seminar. keep an eye on the latest news for full details of the events.
